Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Prepared Foods Team Leader to assist with scheduling, supervision, and daily flow of the Prepared Foods department at our Parker, CO location. You will oversee displays, train Team Members, and ensure top-notch service aligned with store SOPs.

You will work closely with Team Leaders to maintain inventory, profitability, and compliance with safety regulations, while fostering a high-morale, customer-focused team.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of Prepared Foods team procedures and policies.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
• Capable of teaching others in a positive and constructive manner.
• Product knowledge.
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures.
• Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.
• Demonstrated decision-making ability, leadership skills, and ability to prioritize and delegate.
• Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members.
• Trains Team Members in high-performance practices with a trainer.
• Assists in training new Team Members using checklists and materials.
• Keeps cases and shelves clean, stocked, and rotated.
• Opens and closes department per procedures.
• Ensures proper breaks are given.
• Communicates team concerns to leadership.
• Sets and achieves high retail execution standards.
• Fosters a positive, collaborative team environment.
• Manages customer flows and responds to needs.
• Assesses and mentors Team Members to maintain high performance.
• Provides timely performance evaluations.
• Models company vision and goals.
