Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. is seeking a Prepared Foods Team Leader to supervise team members, train staff, and maintain high standards for displays and customer service. You will assist in coaching, scheduling, and performance evaluations while upholding health, safety, and store procedures.

The role emphasizes teamwork, leadership, and the ability to manage day-to-day department operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising a retail team in a fast-paced department.
• Ability to train, mentor, and evaluate Team Members.
• Strong knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling policies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for customer and team interactions.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members.
• Works with Prepared Foods Trainer to train Team Members and minimize turnover.
• Assists in training of new Team Members using training materials.
• Keeps cases and shelves clean, stocked and rotated.
• Opens and closes department per procedures.
• Ensures breaks are given and schedules respected.
• Communicates team concerns to Team Leader and Associate Team Leader.
• Sets high standards of retail execution.
• Fosters teamwork, respect and morale.
• Maintains awareness of customer flows and adapts to meet needs.
• _selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members.
• Provides timely performance evaluations.
• Communicates and models WFM vision and goals.
