Job summary

Big City Bites Bistro LLC is seeking an outgoing, energetic prep cook to join our team in Kannapolis, NC. Our Line Cooks are quality-forward with a friendly, know-how-oriented approach and a customer-first mindset. You will contribute to a positive dining experience with efficient prep and cooking.

Expect a flexible schedule, free meals, opportunity for advancement, and a supportive team. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work weekends while maintaining high hygiene

Qualifications

• 2 years prep cook experience preferred.
• Able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Able to cook and prepare recipes to standards using equipment such as deep fat fryers, grills, ovens.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Adhere to hygiene, cleanliness, and organization standards.
• Able to work 35-45 hour workweeks.
• Able to work weekends.
• Able to speak and read English.
• Able to use knives safely.
• Able to follow food handling guidelines for safety.
• Able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to Big City Bites Bistro's standards.
• Safely operate kitchen equipment (fryers, grills, ovens).
• Maintain hygiene and organization during shift.
• Assist with portion control and plating quality.
• Assist with closing/cleaning duties.
