Job summary

Baptist Medical Center South is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our Sterile Processing Department at our South campus. This is a full-time days shift position, working Monday through Friday.

As a Sterile Processing Tech, your responsibilities include decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments, inspecting and wrapping trays, selecting supplies, and operating sterilization equipment following established protocols.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years instrument experience.
• 1-2 years surgical instrumentation experience.
• High School Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Inspect, assemble, and wrap instrument trays and linen for sterilization.
• Select appropriate supplies and sterilization methods.
• Operate sterilization equipment while following established protocols.
• Demonstrate knowledge of sterilization principles and best practices.
• Prioritize workload while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
