Job summary

Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our Sterile Processing Department on the South campus. This full-time, dayshift position supports surgical services by ensuring instruments and equipment are cleaned, sterilized, assembled, and ready for patient care.

The role requires 1-2 years instrument experience and sterilization knowledge, with CSPDT certification preferred; you will work in a fast-paced prep and sterile area

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Instrument Experience.
• 1-2 years Surgical Instrumentation Experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory protocols.
• Experience in a prep and sterile area.
• Certification CSPDT - CBSPD.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Inspect, assemble, and wrap instrument trays and linen for sterilization.
• Select appropriate supplies and sterilization methods.
• Operate sterilization equipment while following established protocols.
• Demonstrate knowledge of sterilization principles and best practices.

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting surgical services by ensuring instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, assembled, and available for patient care.

As a Sterile Processing Tech, your responsibilities include
