Job summary

Baptist Medical Center South is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician for the South campus. This full-time evening shift (3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.) supports surgical services by sterilizing and preparing instruments for patient care.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years instrument experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Inspect, assemble, and wrap instrument trays and linen for sterilization.
• Select appropriate supplies and sterilization methods.
• Operate sterilization equipment following established protocols.
• Demonstrate knowledge of sterilization principles and best practices.
• Prioritize workload while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
