Job summary

Van’s Kitchen is seeking a Prep Operator for the 1st shift in Dallas, TX. You’ll handle vegetable, protein, and recipe prep, following GMPs and SOPs while maintaining safe, sanitary operations.

You will load ingredients into processing equipment, weigh items per recipes, and log daily production metrics, with a focus on teamwork and accurate handling of foods in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in food manufacturing or packaging preferred.
• English language is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check the production schedule for number of mixes or changes.
• Shred vegetables according to the recipe.
• Grind protein according to the recipe.
• Follow SOPs for knife handling and safe disposal of boxes/pallets.
• Load vegetables and protein into cutting, slicing and mixing machines.
• Weigh all ingredients as required by recipes.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area during the shift.
• Cross train in prep areas to cover other assignments as needed.
• Attend daily as per the production schedule.
