Job summary

Resource Center in Dallas-Fort Worth is seeking a PrEP Navigator & Testing Coordinator to provide HIV/STI prevention services, testing, PrEP, and linkage to care for LGBTQ+ individuals across Dallas County.

You will conduct tests, educate the community, recruit at-risk groups, maintain client files, coordinate outreach, and promote HIV prevention efforts while adhering to safety and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Detail-oriented with ability to handle a moderate to heavy workload and lift 25-50lbs.
• Ability to work flexible hours including some late nights and weekends.
• Must have access to reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed).
• Proficient experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Qualification & experience in FTN/FCT or PBC is preferred, but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Conduct HIV, syphilis & STI testing & prevention activities focused on MSM, transgender, gender-nonconforming individuals.
• Educate MSM and other community members about HIV/STI prevention.
• Recruit at-risk, young adult MSM for FTN/FCT and screen testing.
• Perform initial & follow-up sessions per FTN/FCT guidelines for persons testing for HIV.
• Maintain client files for FTN/FCT HIV/STD testing.
• Coordinate outreach, including recruiting & utilizing volunteers, at venues to conduct testing and referrals.
• Promote PrEP and coordinate HIV testing activities.
• Ensure program goals & objectives are met and report progress.
• Attend department and agency meetings & conferences.
• Maintain safety and HIPAA compliance.
• Monitor supplies, orders & maintenance, including biohazard waste disposal.
• May drive to sites with the mobile unit to events.
