Job summary

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group is looking for a Prep Cook to support our kitchen teams across multiple locations. This role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork to help deliver high-quality meals and ensure weekend and holiday coverage.

Responsibilities include following prep lists, portioning ingredients, maintaining clean stations, and reporting issues to the Chef. The ideal candidate has at least one year of kitchen prep or line cook experience and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of kitchen preparation and line cook experience.
• Positive energy and willingness to assist fellow staff.
• Ability to read and understand basic cooking directions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees, and guests.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Refer to Daily Prep List for each shift and complete opening and closing checklists and promptly report equipment, food quality problems, or product shortages to Chef.
• Prepares and portions a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment.
• Understands and complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven flat top range, refrigeration equipment, and adheres to all DHEC regulations for cleanliness and sanitation.
