Job summary

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group is seeking a Prep Cook to join our kitchen where precision and teamwork drive exceptional guest experiences. You will prep and portion a variety of ingredients, assist with opening and closing tasks, and support the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.

This role requires at least one year of kitchen prep or line cook experience, a positive energy, and the ability to follow directions.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of kitchen prep and/or line cook experience.
• Able to follow directions and maintain quality.
• Strong communication with team and managers.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Refer to Daily Prep List for each shift and complete opening and closing checklists and promptly report equipment, food quality problems, or product shortages to Chef.
• Prepares and portions a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment
• Understands and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven flat top range, refrigeration equipment, and adhere to all DHEC regulations for cleanliness and sanitation
