Role Overview

The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing menu items utilizing cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment. The Cook must adhere to high food quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include portion control, food waste management, sanitation, and operating cooking equipment.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers an hourly wage of $12.00 to $14.00. Benefits for part-time roles include a 401(k) savings plan and matching. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline.

Venue Information

Located in Downtown Memphis, AutoZone Park is home to the Triple-A Memphis Redbirds baseball team and hosts various events year-round.

Responsibilities

1. Cooking and packaging food to order or keeping it warm until sold.
2. Receiving verbal orders from front counter staff.
3. Maintaining quality and production standards for all menu items.
4. Controlling portions and serving temperatures.
5. Cleaning, stocking, and restocking workstations and displays.
6. Operating large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, fryers, and ovens.
7. Ensuring cleanliness and proper storage of food and utensils, and maintaining sanitation standards.
8. Demonstrating good attendance and communication skills.
9. Working effectively in a team in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
10. Possessing a valid food handling certificate if required by regulations.
