Job summary

Oak View Group is hiring a Prep Cook in Lubbock, TX to prepare foods for guests at events and maintain excellent attendance. The role offers an hourly rate of $12.00-$16.00 and requires readiness to work events as needed.

As part of a fast-paced venue kitchen, you will follow company recipes, portion foods, and support service and delivery. Teamwork, reliability, and basic food-safety knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Previous cook or prep cook experience.
• Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment.
• Strong teamwork and service mindset.
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, fresh food for guests in a timely manner.
• Prepare hot and cold foods following recipes and portioning requirements.
• Work as part of a team with responsibilities for preparation, service and delivery.
• Report maintenance needed for kitchen equipment.
• Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards.
• Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking.
• Portion, arrange and garnish plates for delivery to guests.
• Consult with Executive/Sous Chef to plan menus and estimate food consumption.
• Meet attendance standards.
