Job summary

Barcelona Wine Bar is seeking a Prep Cook to support our executive chef and line cooks in Raleigh. You will perform routine prep tasks, weigh and mix ingredients, chop vegetables, and ensure proper food handling and storage to keep service running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have some culinary experience, basic math and strong communication skills, and the ability to follow directions in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2-4 year culinary degree preferred but not required.
• Minimum 1-2 years experience in food service/hospitality.
• Food handler's card may be required per local/state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Follow clear direction in food preparation and storing.
• Clearly label and date all prepped items, especially those stored for later use.
• Ensure that all food is properly prepared for use by the line cooks.
