Job summary

Trolley House Refreshments, the convenience services division of Trolley Hospitality Companies in Richmond, is hiring for a Full-time Kitchen Prep role. You will start before sunrise, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Saturday through Wednesday, and handle daily food preparation and setup.

You will support kitchen operations, ensure proper labeling and storage, maintain clean workstations, and assist with training fellow team members.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of kitchen terminology and prep processes.
• 2+ years of food prep experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand long periods.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily food preparation, including chopping, portioning, weighing, mixing, and cooking to set recipes and quality standards.
• Support kitchen operations, workflow, and daily production priorities.
• Oversee proper labeling, dating, storage, and rotation of food products per safety rules.
• Set up, operate, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment and workstations.
• Assist with training and supporting other kitchen team members.

What you will be doing:

• • Available to work early mornings: Saturday - Wednesday 6:00AM-2:PM

  • Support the Central Kitchen Manager with kitchen operations, workflow, and daily production priorities.
  • Oversee proper labeling, dating, storage, and rotation of food products in accordance with food safety requirements.
  • Set up, operate, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment and workstations to support an efficient production environment.
  • Assist with training and supporting other kitchen team members as needed.

What you bring to the table:

• Basic knowledge of kitchen language
• 2+ Years of Food Prep Experience would be nice
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Conversational Spanish a plus
