Job summary

Trolley House Refreshments, the Convenience Services Division of Trolley Hospitality Companies in Richmond, VA, is seeking a full-time kitchen prep team member for Saturday to Wednesday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. You’ll help with daily food preparation, portioning, labeling, and keeping a clean, safe workspace.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of food prep experience, can lift up to 50 pounds, and are morning people who value efficiency and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of kitchen language and procedures.
• 2+ years of food prep experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stay on your feet for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Available to work early mornings: Saturday - Wednesday 6:00AM-2:00PM.
• Execute daily food preparation, including chopping, portioning, weighing, mixing, and cooking according to recipes.
• Support kitchen operations, workflows, and daily production priorities.
• Ensure proper labeling, dating, storage, and rotation of food per safety rules.
• Set up, operate, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment and stations for efficiency.
• Assist with training and supporting other kitchen team members.

What you will be doing:

• Support the Central Kitchen Manager with kitchen operations, workflow, and daily production priorities.
• Oversee proper labeling, dating, storage, and rotation of food products in accordance with food safety requirements.
• Set up, operate, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment and workstations to support an efficient production environment.
• Assist with training and supporting other kitchen team members as needed.

What you bring to the table:

• Basic knowledge of kitchen language
• 2+ Years of Food Prep Experience would be nice
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Conversational Spanish a plus
