Job summary

Legends Global in New York City is seeking a Prep Cook to provide quick, attentive service in a fine dining culinary setting while maintaining strict sanitation standards.

The role requires following the Executive Chef and culinary supervisors’ directions, preparing items to portion size and quality, and upholding HACCP guidelines. Applicants must meet DOHMH food handler requirements and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Be in possession of food handler’s certification from Department of Health & Mental Hygiene (DOHMH).
• Experience in high-volume food service venues; alcohol service experience a plus.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Provide quick and efficient service in a fine dining culinary experience.
• Maintain sanitation standards and HACCP compliance.
• Follow Chef, Sous-C Chef and Culinary Supervisors’ opening/closing procedures.
• Prepare food items to standard portion sizes and quality.
• Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and proper uniform.
