Major Food Group LLC is hiring experienced Prep Cooks to join Dirty French at the Ludlow Hotel on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. The role is based in New York, NY, offering hourly pay between $18.00 and $21.00.

Responsibilities include setting up stations, preparing ingredients and sauces, cooking with the kitchen team, and maintaining quality and timing. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, referral programs, transit discounts, and 401k contributions.

Formación

• Minimum 1 year of experience in high-volume and fine dining restaurants preferred but not required
• Culinary diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
• Team-orientated and positive attitude
• Strong communication skills a must

Responsabilidades

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
