Job summary

sbe is seeking a Prep Cook to join its high-end dining team in San Diego. The role involves preparing ingredients, cooking and assembling dishes per recipes, and maintaining a clean, efficient kitchen environment.

You will coordinate with wait staff and ensure timely, attractive presentations for each plate. Ideal candidates have at least two years of relevant experience in a luxury setting, and hold an ANSI Food Handler Card plus a Responsible Beverage Service certificate.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of relevant experience in high-end, service-focused environment.
• ANSI approved Food Handler Card and Responsible Beverage Service certificate recognized by ABC.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, then cook and assemble dishes as indicated by recipes.
• Perform portion control to minimize waste.
• Ensure that all dishes are prepared within ticket time guidelines.
• Set up stations according to protocol and schematics.
• Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
• Maintain a clean work area and restaurants equipment.
• Communicate with wait staff and prepare garnishes for presentation.
