Qualifications

• Knowledge of food and beverage service and safety and hygiene policies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced situation.
• Ability to carry trays with fragile materials and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be proficient in English.
• Must have reliable transportation as public transportation is not available.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits.
• Measure and assemble ingredients for recipes.
• Prepare simple dishes such as salads, appetizers, and dressings.
• Portion and wrap food for storage.
• Assist with the preparation of meats, seafood, and poultry by cutting, marinating, and portioning.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen and sanitize surfaces.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the kitchen manager.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (slicers, mixers, blenders).
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of kitchen equipment.
