Job Title: Prep Cook at Canteen

We are hiring immediately for a full-time Prep Cook position at Canteen, located at American Airlines - 5032 Parkway Plaza Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28217. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time; Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 2:30 pm. More details will be provided upon interview.

Requirements: Prior food prep experience is preferred. Daily food transportation is required.

Pay Range: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food and serves customers in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
• Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
• Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets. Taste completed meals to ensure quality.
• Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Store, label, and date all food items according to policy. Follow HACCP guidelines.
• Complete all required documentation, reports, logs as required.
• Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time.
• Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
• Complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations.
• Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
• Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Store, label, and date all food items according to policy.
• Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Resolve customer concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
