Job Description

Prep Cook - Monroe - Full time

$19.00 hourly rate

The Prep Cook will support the Lead Cook in daily cooking operations, including the preparation of all resident and employee meals and ensuring sanitation of kitchens.

Benefits include excellent medical, dental, and vision plans, 25 paid days off, pension plan, annual holiday bonus, and a free meal with every shift worked. The work hours are 9:00am - 5:00pm or 11:00am - 7:00pm, including every other weekend.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Three years of commercial cooking experience, preferably in healthcare, and completion of a culinary course.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to lift heavy food items and move within a commercial kitchen environment.
  • ServSafe Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, local codes, and HACCP standards.
  • Flu vaccine required or medical exemption prior to employment.
