Qualifications

• 3 months' experience in the culinary field.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission.
• Attend our West Virginia Food Handlers Class and pass certification.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee must lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, season, and mix, grab & go salads/sandwiches/etc., compound salads, fruit/veggie displays, other foodstuffs for consumption in dining areas at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races by performing the following duties.
• Slices meats/cheeses/vegetables/fruits, portions food to fill orders.
• Fills commissary orders to outlets.
• Adds seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking/mixing.
• Observes and tests foods being cooked by tasting, smelling, and piercing with fork to determine that it is cooked.
• Washes, peels, cuts, and shreds vegetables and fruits to prepare them for use.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
