Job summary

Clyde's Tower Oaks Lodge in Rockville, MD is hiring a Prep Cook to join our rustic lodge-style kitchen team. You will wash, prep and portion vegetables, meats and fish, read recipes to specification, and assist in operating ovens and ranges to support high-volume service.

We offer flexible scheduling (part-time, full-time or on-call), competitive pay from $18 to $21.50 per hour, excellent on-the-job training, 401k options, employee discounts, and a culture built on courtesy, dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• Hardworking, attentive, and hospitality-driven with a desire to excel and maintain the highest level of service.
• Experience as a prep cook in a high-volume restaurant.
• Ability to read and prep recipes to measurements and standards.
• Available to work a variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, slice, dice, chop, and otherwise prepare raw vegetables, meat and fish
• Use a commercial food slicer to slice various meats, cheese, and vegetables
• Use a commercial food processor to prep foods
• Operate both convection and conventional ovens and gas ranges
• Lift, handle, weigh, and portion food items using a commercial portion control scale
• Label, date, and store prepped product
• Clean, wipe, and scour prep equipment and machinery, and sweep and mop prep area floors
