Clyde's Willow Creek Farm in Ashburn, VA is hiring a Prep Cook to join a busy kitchen and contribute to high-quality dining experiences. The role includes prepping vegetables, proteins, and fish, and supporting line cooks in a fast-paced environment.

We offer flexible scheduling (part-time, full-time, on-call), competitive pay between $18.00 and $20.00 per hour, comprehensive training, and benefits, plus restaurant discounts for you and guests in the Clyde’s network.

Qualifications

• Hardworking and hospitality-driven with a desire to excel and maintain high service levels.
• Experience as a prep cook in a high-volume restaurant is desirable.
• Ability to read and prep recipes to measurements and standards.
• Available to work variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, slice, dice, chop, and prep raw vegetables, meat and fish.
• Use a commercial food slicer to slice meats, cheese, and vegetables.
• Use a commercial food processor to prep foods.
• Operate convection and conventional ovens and gas ranges.
• Lift, weigh and portion food items using a scale.
• Label, date, store prepped product and clean prep area and equipment.

What We Look For In a Prep Cook

• Experience as a prep cook desired, preferably in a high-volume restaurant
• Ability to read and prep recipes to measurements and standards
• Available to work a variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays

What You Will Do As a Prep Cook

• Wash, peel, slice, dice, chop, and otherwise prepare raw vegetables, meat and fish
• Use a commercial food slicer to slice various meats, cheese, and vegetables
• Use a commercial food processor to prep foods
• Operate both convection and conventional ovens and gas ranges
• Lift, handle, weigh, and portion food items using a commercial portion control scale
• Label, date, and store prepped productClean, wipe, and scour prep equipment and machinery, and sweep and mop prep area floors
