Job summary

The Brass Tap is seeking a kitchen prep cook to support our fast-paced venue with prep work, sauces and ingredients according to recipes. Team culture emphasizes quality and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities include following food safety guidelines, sanitation procedures, and operation of kitchen equipment. Must be able to stand, lift up to 60 pounds, and read English recipes; weekend and holiday shifts required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read recipes, prep sheets and spec charts in English.
• Able to competently handle a knife and other kitchen utensils.
• Able to operate kitchen equipment.
• Adheres to food safety guidelines for cooking, cooling and storage.
• Works well in a team and maintains a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prep vegetables, proteins and sauces for use in recipes.
• Follow food safety guidelines for cooking, cooling & storage.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Follow recipe procedures.
• Keep equipment clean and organized.
• Complete duties without constant supervision.
