Job summary

Coal Town Public House is seeking a Prep Cook to efficiently prepare and portion foods per the recipe book, weigh and mix ingredients, and maintain sanitary standards in a fast-paced kitchen. You will support BOH staff and ensure safe, clean work areas while meeting service expectations.

Responsibilities include stocking, prepping lists, operating stations, and adhering to Safe Serve practices; strong teamwork and reliability are essential for weekend shifts and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED optional.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a large commercial kitchen operation.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion food according to the recipe book and sanitary standards.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients as required.
• Assist BOH staff and maintain safe, clean work environment.
• Create prep lists and rotate stock to meet demand.
• Set up and break down stations and complete cleaning duties.
