Job summary

The Cheesecake Factory is hiring a Prep Cook in Tacoma, WA for part-time hours. You’ll join a supportive kitchen team in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant, taking ownership of food preparation with attention to detail and consistency.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen experience in the food service industry preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation, food handling, and food safety standards.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Follow a prep list and complete tasks efficiently with speed and accuracy.
• Read and follow recipes with precise measurements and portions.
• Prepare ingredients using knife skills for various cuts.
• Use a range of cooking methods (boiling, broiling, roasting, sauteing, frying, grilling).
• Prepare ingredients for 200+ menu items including sauces, dressings, and soups.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, broilers, flat tops, grills, mixers, and slicers.
• Label, date, and rotate food using FIFO procedures.
• Maintain organization, safety, cleanliness, and sanitation; adhere to food safety standards.
• Support teamwork through clear, effective communication.
