The Cheesecake Factory is hiring Prep Cooks at our Westlake, OH location. You’ll work in a fast-paced, full-service kitchen to prepare ingredients for hundreds of recipes, upholding high standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities include following prep lists, precise measurements, knife work, and operating diverse kitchen equipment. We offer steady hours, part-time or full-time options, and benefits, with opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen experience in the food service industry preferred.
• Proficient with kitchen tools, equipment, and culinary techniques.
• Knowledge of food safety standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Follow a prep list and complete tasks efficiently with speed and urgency.
• Read and follow recipes with accurate measurements, weights, and portioning.
• Prepare ingredients with knife skills including chopping, dicing, and slicing.
• Use cooking methods including boiling, broiling, roasting, sautéing, frying, and grilling.
• Prepare ingredients for 200+ menu items including sauces, dressings, and soups.
• Operate kitchen equipment (ovens, fryers, broilers, flat tops, grills, tilts, mixers, slicers).
• Label, date, and rotate food using FIFO procedures.
• Maintain organization, safety, cleanliness and sanitation.
• Adhere to food safety and handling procedures.
• Support teamwork with clear communication.
• Work well under pressure while maintaining high standards.
