Job summary

The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated is seeking Prep Cooks to join a fast-paced, full-service kitchen. You will follow prep lists, read recipes precisely, and prepare ingredients with strong knife skills for hundreds of menu items.

Responsibilities include operating kitchen equipment, adhering to food safety standards, and maintaining cleanliness. Prior kitchen experience is preferred; must be 18+ and able to lift up to 50 pounds. Excellent teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume kitchen preferred.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of food preparation and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow a prep list and complete tasks efficiently with speed and urgency.
• Read and follow recipes with accurate measurements and portions.
• Prepare ingredients using knife skills: chopping, dicing, slicing.
• Use cooking methods including boiling, broiling, roasting, sauteing, frying, grilling.
• Prep ingredients for 200+ menu items; sauces, dressings, soups.
• Operate ovens, fryers, broilers, grills, tilt skillets, mixers, slicers.
• Label, date, rotate food using FIFO; maintain organization and safety.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation; support teamwork and clear communication.
• Work well under pressure while upholding high standards.
