Prior kitchen experience is helpful, but attitude and reliability matter most, and we are willing to train the right person. Ideal candidates show up on time, stay organized, and work well with teammates in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients according to recipes and Shindigs standards.
• Wash, cut, chop, portion, and prep produce, meats, sauces, and other ingredients.
• Prepare batches of sauces, dressings, sides, and other components.
• Label, date, rotate, and store food properly.
• Maintain portion sizes and recipe consistency.
• Keep prep areas, equipment, and storage clean and organized.
• Restock line stations and communicate product needs to cooks.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures.
• Assist with deliveries when needed and reduce food waste.
• Support Line Cooks, Dishwashers, and other kitchen staff.
• Complete opening, closing, and cleaning duties as assigned.
• Report shortages, quality concerns, or equipment issues to management.
• Work with urgency while maintaining quality and safety.
