Job summary

The One Group is seeking a Prep Cook for a high-volume kitchen in a Prime Los Angeles area location. You will prep ingredients, follow recipes precisely, and support the culinary team to ensure smooth service with high food safety standards.

Ideal candidates have strong knife skills, can multitask in a fast-paced environment, and are committed to quality. Night, weekend, and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Prep Cook, Kitchen Assistant, or similar role in a high-volume kitchen preferred.
• Strong knife skills and understanding of basic culinary techniques.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients, proteins, sauces, and garnishes according to recipes and specifications.
• Wash, peel, chop, and cut vegetables, fruits, and herbs for use in various dishes.
• Assist with butchering meat, filleting fish, and handling proteins as needed.
• Maintain proper storage, labeling, and rotation of all food products to prevent waste.
• Ensure the prep station is fully stocked, clean, and always organized.
• Work closely with chefs and line cooks to ensure smooth kitchen flow.
• Follow recipe guidelines and portion controls to maintain consistency and quality.
• Assist in the daily mise en place, ensuring all necessary prep is completed before service.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards, following all health department regulations.
• Execute tasks assigned by Chefs and Kitchen Leadership with professionalism and enthusiasm
