Job summary

Kona Grill Boise is seeking an AM Prep Cook available Sunday through Thursday to support our kitchen team. You will prep ingredients, ensure freshness, and help execute our signature menu with strict food safety standards.

Responsibilities include portioning, knife work, stock maintenance, and collaborating with chefs to maintain smooth service. Strong kitchen values and reliability are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Strong knife skills and basic culinary techniques.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety.
• Willingness to support BOH team and contribute to kitchen success.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients, proteins, sauces, and garnishes according to recipes.
• Wash, peel, chop, and cut vegetables, fruits, and herbs.
• Assist with butchering meat, filleting fish, and handling proteins as needed.
• Maintain storage, labeling, and rotation to prevent waste.
• Keep prep station stocked, clean, and organized.
• Work with chefs and line cooks to ensure smooth kitchen flow.
• Follow recipe guidelines and portion controls for consistency.
• Assist in mise en place and ensure prep is completed before service.
• Maintain sanitation and health department standards.
• Execute tasks with professionalism and enthusiasm.
