Job summary

Myers + Chang in Boston is seeking a Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The role reports to the Executive and Sous Chefs and collaborates with BOH and Front-of-House managers.

You will produce high-quality prep, follow allergen protocols, keep a clean station, and support daily production needs. We require strong time management, a positive attitude, and flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1 year of kitchen experience; prep cook preferred.
• Strong work ethic and organization.
• Passion for Asian cuisine or willingness to learn.
• Able to follow health, sanitary, and safety guidelines.
• Knowledge of allergen protocols.
• Maintain grooming and uniform standards.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Availability mornings, afternoons, weekends; evenings may be needed.
• Great sense of urgency and hospitality.
• Willing to take feedback and work as a team.
• Flexible scheduling, afternoons/evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks and prep lists as assigned.
• Maintain open communication with team members.
• Keep station clean and organized at all times; end-of-shift cleaning.
• Ensure proper accuracy and quality of all items prepared.
• Prep products while adhering to allergen protocols.
• Provide great hospitality to guests when needed.
• Clean & organize walk-in cooler/freezer and other areas as needed.
• Follow food safety storage guidelines with labeled containers, dates, initials, FIFO.
• Assist teammates with other tasks as required.
