Job summary

Flanigan is seeking a Prep Cook for a fast-paced kitchen in Kentucky. You will organize prep work, read recipes, operate basic kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness to ensure smooth service.

Responsibilities include following safety policies, rotating stock to par levels, and assisting with dishwashing and closing cleanup. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, or holidays.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read recipes, labels and orders in English.
• Must read POS ticket orders and communicate effectively with staff.
• Know-how to safely use kitchen machinery and maintain cleanliness.
• Must pass food safety certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and sanitation policies and training.
• Prepare menu items per recipe and maintain plate presentation.
• Keep products rotated and stocked to par level.
• Assist prep work and station setup as needed.
• Transport items; assist with deliveries and cleanup.
• Break down and clean stations at closing.
