Job summary

First Meridian Services is seeking a Prep Cook to support the kitchen team by preparing ingredients and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. You will wash, chop, and portion ingredients and assist with basic cooking tasks to help ensure efficient service.

The role requires adherence to Food Safety standards and the ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment. Starting pay ranges from $20–$23 per hour, with benefits for eligible full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• 1+ years’ experience as a cook/prep cook in a full-service restaurant.
• ServSafe certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing.
• Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items following recipes.
• Portion and package prepared ingredients for use during service.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe kitchen.
