Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant or food production / retail operations experience.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic math skills required.
• Able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Understanding of professional cooking, knife handling, and safety.
• Ability to train and work in a team environment.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of appearance and hygiene.
• Follow the prep list created by chefs.
• Label and stock ingredients for quick access.
• Measure ingredients and seasonings for cooking.
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables and meat.
• Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces.
• Prepare simple dishes like salads and entrees.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization.
• Assist management with logs and daily checks.
• Check food quality and temperatures to meet safety standards.
• Cross-train in other positions and provide support as needed.
