The Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa in Tucson, AZ is seeking a dedicated Prep Cook to support our culinary team by preparing ingredients, portioning accurately, and keeping a clean, organized kitchen. You will ensure all food is prepared consistently and in line with established recipes and food-safety standards.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen or prep experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and safety standards.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients including vegetables, meats, sauces, and other food items.
• Follow recipes, preparation techniques, and presentation standards.
• Maintain clean, organized, and stocked prep areas.
• Label, date, store, and rotate ingredients according to FIFO.
• Assist cooks with daily food preparation and service needs.
• Monitor ingredient levels and report shortages or quality concerns.
• Follow sanitation, food-safety, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with kitchen cleaning, dishwashing, and other closing duties.
• Work collaboratively with the culinary team in a fast-paced environment.
