Job summary

Hilton is seeking a Prep Cook to join our Hotels team in a role that keeps guest experiences at the forefront of everything we do. You will prepare high-quality dishes, assist higher-ranked cooks, and help maintain a clean, efficient kitchen to support memorable hospitality.

Ideal candidates are 18+, able to stand for 8 hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and work flexible hours including nights and weekends. A Food Safety Certification is preferred, and prior cooking experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Able to work a full shift (8 hours) walking/standing with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to bend, stoop, walk and lift up to 50lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to work flexible hours- including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have up to 1 year of experience as a cook.
• Has a Food Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality dishes: Prepare menu items according to designated recipes and quality standards
• Delight our guests: Prepare guest orders efficiently while ensuring a positive dining experience
• Execute basic food prep: Maintain a strong knowledge of basic prep work and simple cooking tasks to assist higher-ranked cooks
• Inspect and finalize plates: Inspect all preparations and dishes ahead of serving to ensure they meet quality and presentation standards
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace: Keep food service stations stocked and sanitary while following proper food handling, storage, and safety protocols
• Manage product and operational needs: Master kitchen equipment and recipes
• Comply with regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member well-being
