Job Description

Three Oaks Hospitality is seeking professional prep cooks to prepare food according to the chef’s specifications and to set up stations for menu service. Responsibilities include assisting the executive and sous chefs with daily tasks. The successful candidate will contribute to customer satisfaction and maintain high standards of food quality and safety.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • None.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies.
  • Prepare food for service, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces.
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with kitchen staff.
  • Follow instructions from executive or sous chef.
  • Clean station and manage leftover food.
  • Stock inventory appropriately.
  • Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner, maintaining high quality.
  • Comply with nutrition, sanitation, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers and customers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Accuracy and speed in task execution.
  • Knowledge of industry’s best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Culinary school diploma preferred.
  • Valid Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Previous experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Bending, squatting, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to work in varying noise levels.
