Duffy's Prep Cook Job Description

Reports to: Chef

Job Summary: Responsible for preparing ingredients and stations used in cooking, maintaining the kitchen, and ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.

Major Areas Of Responsibility
  1. Cut or slice meat, poultry, and seafood for cooking.
  2. Wash, peel, and cut fruits and vegetables.
  3. Weigh, portion, and wrap food.
  4. Follow prep list assigned by Chef.
  5. Rotate food and label in coolers.
  6. Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas.
  7. Perform general cleaning in the kitchen.
  8. Restock supplies and store food properly.
  9. Transport supplies and equipment.
  10. Remove trash and clean garbage containers.
  11. Report equipment issues and low supplies.
  12. Assist other kitchen staff as needed.
  13. Use appliances to prepare food.
  14. Sweep and mop floors.
  15. Maintain Food Handler's Certification.
  16. Maintain a positive, professional attitude.
