Job summary

The Henry in Plano, TX is hiring a prep cook to join a fast-paced kitchen. Must have 1+ year of high-volume restaurant experience; you will prep and cook meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other items while portioning and following recipes.

Maintain food safety standards and work calmly during busy periods. We offer $17.00-$20.00 per hour, benefits after 25 hours weekly, dining discounts, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for growth within Fox Restaurant Concepts and The Cheesecake

Qualifications

• Must have 1+ year high-volume restaurant experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Flexibility to work weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prep and cook a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other items using kitchen equipment.
• Portion products and follow recipes.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards and work clean.
• Perform calmly and effectively in high-volume service periods.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation.

What you’ll do:

• Prep and cook a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment.
• Portion product and follow recipes.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards. Work clean.
• Perform calmly and effectively in a high-volume environment
• Availability to work weekends and some holidays
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant
