Job summary

The VIG in Downtown Phoenix is seeking an energetic prep cook to join our hospitality-focused team. If you love food, fast-paced service, and helping create memorable guest experiences, this is your chance to shine.

Responsibilities include following prep lists, making sauces and dressings, labeling and FIFO storage, receiving deliveries, and maintaining a clean kitchen to support the line cooks. Authorized to work in the US required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as prep cook, dishwasher, or similar kitchen role.
• Minimum age 18.
• Stand for long periods, work in hot and wet environments, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

• Prepare bulk sauces, dressings, soups, and tavern signature items.
• Label, date, and organize all prepped items using the FIFO (first-in, first-out) method.
• Receive, inspect, and put away inventory deliveries.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized workspace and clean prep equipment.
• Prepares bulk recipes, chops vegetables, portions proteins, and organizes incoming inventory to set the line cooks up for success.
