Job Summary: Prepare a variety of food products including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces, stocks, breads, and more, using appropriate equipment and utensils according to the daily prep list.

Essential Functions:

  • Complete opening and closing checklists
  • Follow daily prep list for assigned duties
  • Prepare meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other items using kitchen equipment
  • Maintain proper knife skills and safety
  • Use standard recipes for preparation and portioning
  • Ensure food safety, quality standards, and kitchen policies are followed
  • Prepare garnishes and maintain cleanliness of work stations
  • Monitor cooking and holding temperatures
  • Assist with kitchen closing procedures
  • Attend team meetings and suggest improvements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Food handler permit
  • 6 months in a dishwasher or higher position and/or 1 year kitchen experience
  • Initiative, safety knowledge, interpersonal skills, positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a team, follow instructions, and pass pre-employment testing
  • Availability for peak hours and ability to obtain a Class II Gaming License

Preferred Skills:

  • 1 year line cooking in high-volume kitchens
  • Servsafe Certified
  • Ability to work under time constraints, learn quickly, multi-task, and manage time effectively

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for long periods, tolerate smoke environment, reach with hands and arms
