Job Overview

Purpose / Position Summary: Support the operation to deliver superior guest service by preparing and plating food according to production standards and maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cook, plate, and adhere to portion standards as per requirements.
  • Organize daily activities by reviewing pull and prep lists.
  • Store food at proper temperatures, label, date, and rotate stock.
  • Test foods for proper cooking using tasting, smelling, or measuring methods.
  • Monitor and maintain cooking temperatures on equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and broilers.
  • Keep work areas and equipment clean and sanitized.
  • Follow safe food handling and hygiene practices.
  • Operate equipment safely and report malfunctions.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as per checklists.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, with at least six months of related experience or training. Knowledge of basic food prep and cooking skills, ability to identify and use utensils and equipment correctly.

Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to read and understand instructions, communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and portioning.
  • Ability to follow instructions and apply reasoning.
Physical and Work Environment

Must be able to stand for 6-8 hours, manipulate tools, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent hand immersion in water and cleaning agents. Work in hot and cold environments. Hearing ability needed in noisy settings.
