Job summary

Major Food Group LLC is seeking a part-time Prep Cook to join the team at Sadelle's Coconut Grove in Miami, FL. The Prep Cook will set up and stock stations, prepare ingredients, and work with kitchen staff to ensure dishes are produced with high quality and in a timely fashion.

Experience in high-volume or fine dining is preferred, with a culinary diploma or equivalent encouraged. The role requires a team-oriented attitude and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in high-volume and fine dining restaurants preferred.
• Culinary diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Team-oriented with positive attitude and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
