Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions, Inc. is seeking a dependable Prep Cook to join our school food service program at Hill City School District. This on-site role supports meal prep, serving students, and a clean, organized kitchen in a fast-paced, team‑oriented environment.

You’ll follow recipes, maintain safety and hygiene, log daily production, and communicate supply needs. The Monday–Friday 6:30am–1:30pm schedule keeps evenings and weekends free.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients, and convert quantities for large batches.
• Dependability, integrity, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, and other physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items by following recipes, ensuring meals are ready for serving times and supporting special diets and events.
• Help keep the kitchen clean and organized, including storage areas, using FIFO practices, and complete HACCP logs and daily production records.
• Maintain food safety and compliance: follow food-safety steps, complete basic logs, assist with production records and safe workspace.
• Communicate supply needs, customer feedback, and updates to your team and supervisors.
• Stock and serve items during meal service and assist with prep lists and freezer pulls.
• Jump in where needed: help teammates, train new team members, and assist when someone is out.

What You’ll Do
