Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions, Inc. seeks a dependable Prep Cook/Cashier for on-site work at Ballard Community School District. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30am–1:30pm. You will prep simple menu items, serve students, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen to support smooth meal service.

You’ll follow recipes, assist with production records, handle POS transactions, and uphold food‑safety standards. Teamwork, reliability, and customer service are essential in this school setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items by following recipes to ensure timely service.

• Maintain food safety: complete basic logs and production records, keep workspace safe.
• Communicate supply needs, feedback, and updates to team and supervisors.
• Stock and serve items; assist with prep lists and freezer pulls.
• Assist teammates, train new staff, and help when others are out.

Location: On-site at Ballard Community School District

Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:30am-1:30pm

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable, team‑focused Prep Cook/Cashier to join our school food service program. In this role you’ll keep meal service running smoothly by helping prep simple menu items, serving students, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. It’s an active, team‑focused role that makes a real impact on students’ day.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare menu items by following recipes while ensuring meals are ready for serving times and supporting special diets and events.
• Help keep the kitchen clean and organized, including storage areas, using FIFO practices, and complete HACCP logs and daily production records.
• Maintain food safety and compliance Follow food‑safety steps, complete basic logs, assist with production records and help maintain a safe workspace.
• Communicate supply needs, customer feedback, and updates to your team and supervisors.
• Stock and serve items during meal service and help with prep lists and freezer pulls.
• Jump in where needed from helping teammates, training new team members and assisting when someone is out.
• Operate the Point-of-Sale system to process student transactions and manage account balances. F
• Follow cash handling procedures and reconcile daily transations
• Help create a friendly, welcoming environment for students and staff while providing excellent customer service.
