Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable Prep Cook/Cashier to join our school food service program at Ballard Community School District. In this on-site role you’ll prep simple menu items, serve students, and help keep the kitchen clean and organized during a Monday–Friday schedule.

You’ll follow recipes, use a POS system for student transactions, maintain food safety records, and support a friendly, efficient service environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients, and scale for large batches.
• Basic computer skills and comfort using a POS system.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, twisting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items by following recipes and ensure meals are ready for serving times.
• Help keep the kitchen clean and organized, including storage areas and daily logs.
• Maintain food safety and comply with HACCP and production records.
• Communicate supply needs and feedback to team and supervisors.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:30am-1:30pm

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable, team‑focused Prep Cook/Cashier to join our school food service program. In this role you’ll keep meal service running smoothly by helping prep simple menu items, serving students, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. It’s an active, team‑focused role that makes a real impact on students’ day.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare menu items by following recipes while ensuring meals are ready for serving times and supporting special diets and events.
• Help keep the kitchen clean and organized, including storage areas, using FIFO practices, and complete HACCP logs and daily production records.
• Maintain food safety and compliance Follow food‑safety steps, complete basic logs, assist with production records and help maintain a safe workspace.
• Communicate supply needs, customer feedback, and updates to your team and supervisors.
• Stock and serve items during meal service and help with prep lists and freezer pulls.
• Jump in where needed from helping teammates, training new team members and assisting when someone is out.
• Operate the Point-of-Sale system to process student transactions and manage account balances. F
• Follow cash handling procedures and reconcile daily transations
• Help create a friendly, welcoming environment for students and staff while providing excellent customer service.
