Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions, Inc. is seeking a dependable Prep Cook to join our school food service program at Hill City School District. You will prep simple menu items, assist during meal service, and help maintain a clean, safe kitchen in a Monday–Friday daytime schedule.

You will work in a team-oriented environment that supports students with nutritious meals and efficient service. This role emphasizes reliability, adherence to recipes, and basic HACCP/documentation tasks.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients, and scale for large batches.
• Dependability, integrity, and commitment to excellent customer service.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing and physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items by following recipes and ensure meals are ready for serving times.
• Help keep the kitchen clean and organized, including storage areas and logs.
• Maintain food safety by following HACCP logs and daily production records.
• Communicate supply needs and feedback to team and supervisors.
• Stock and serve items during meal service and assist with prep lists.
• Assist with training teammates and covering when someone is out.

Prep Cook – Lunchtime Solutions

Location: On-site at Hill City School District

Schedule: Monday–Friday 6:30am-1:30pm

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable, team‑focused Prep Cook to join our school food service program. In this role you’ll keep meal service running smoothly by helping prep simple menu items, serving students, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. It’s an active, team‑focused role that makes a real impact on students’ day.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare menu items by following recipes while ensuring meals are ready for serving times and supporting special diets and events.
• Help keep the kitchen clean and organized, including storage areas, using FIFO practices, and complete HACCP logs and daily production records.
• Maintain food safety and compliance Follow food‑safety steps, complete basic logs, assist with production records and help maintain a safe workspace.
• Communicate supply needs, customer feedback, and updates to your team and supervisors.
• Stock and serve items during meal service and help with prep lists and freezer pulls.
• Jump in where needed from helping teammates, training new team members and assisting when someone is out.
