Job summary

Erickson Senior Living is opening Emerson Lakes in Lakewood Ranch, FL, and seeks a Prep Cook to join the on-site dining team. You will contribute to Signature Dining Programs, handling à la minute cooking and chef-inspired dishes with a dedicated kitchen crew.

The role requires culinary experience, weekend/holiday availability, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds in a state-of-the-art kitchen environment. Onsite benefits include dining discounts and growth opportunities.

Join our team as a Prep Cook if you’re passionate about food and teamwork, with culinary experience. You will contribute to our Signature Dining Programs, engaging in à la minute cooking and creating chef-inspired dishes, while working with a dedicated team in state-of-the‑art kitchens and using top‑notch equipment. Our Prep Cooks will play a critical role in the grand opening of our full service on‑site dining venues at Emerson Lakes, one of Erickson Senior Living’s most anticipated new communities in beautiful Lakewood Ranch, Florida.

Emerson Lakes will be a premier, state‑of‑the‑art continuing care retirement community designed to serve more than 1,500 residents across Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, and Memory Care. This gated community will feature an impressive array of amenities, including multiple restaurants, a stunning outdoor swimming pool, a cutting‑edge fitness center, an onsite medical center, and much more.

• Compensation: commensurate with experience starting at $16.50 per hour.

How you will make an impact

What you will need

• Must be able to work some weekends and holidays.
• Be able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, from hot kitchens to cold refrigerators and freezers
